At Love Your Flock, our work is rooted in deep respect for backyard birds—not just as animals to be cared for, but as individuals with unique personalities, needs, and relationships. This isn’t just a business. It’s personal.
I’ve raised chickens from just two days old and have cared for them through every stage of life for over five years. They are not just pets—they are family. We’ve built real bonds, shared routines, learned each other’s language. I had never kept chickens before, and through trial, error, research, and lots of love, I learned what it truly means to care for them well.
My partner has over a decade and a half of experience as a caregiver and shelter director at a farm animal sanctuary, where he oversaw the daily care of thousands of rescued chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese. Together, we have a combined 19 years of experience and professional training to build a service that’s compassionate, grounded, and deeply informed.
We created Love Your Flock to help people give their birds the same thoughtful, individual care we give our own. Whether you’re looking for help while you're away, navigating a health concern, or just starting out—we’re here with real-world advice and hands-on support.
Herve Breuil
Animal Care Advisor
Hervé is an experienced animal care professional with over 14 years of hands-on work in farmed animal rescue and rehabilitation. He spent seven years as an animal caregiver and the past seven as the Shelter Director at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, where he has overseen the health and well-being of thousands of farmed animals.
As an advisor to Love Your Flock, Hervé brings invaluable knowledge of flock behavior, injury prevention, wellness protocols, and individualized care strategies. He has worked closely with veterinarians, prosthetists, and animal care teams to develop and implement thoughtful, evidence-based care plans. His background also includes extensive training of animal caregivers, emergency response coordination, and public education on the needs of farmed animals.
Originally from France, Hervé has been a committed animal advocate since 2001. His leadership and deep care expertise help ensure that Love Your Flock maintains the highest standards in backyard flock support—always rooted in compassion, trust, and respect for every bird.
