Biosecurity Measures
The health and safety of every flock we care for is a top priority. We follow thoughtful, real-world biosecurity practices designed to reduce risk while keeping care calm and low-stress for your birds.
Our approach includes:
-
Flock-to-flock precautions: We are mindful about the order in which we visit flocks and avoid unnecessary cross-contact between birds, equipment, and environments.
-
Clean clothing and footwear practices: Footwear and clothing are chosen and cleaned with flock safety in mind. We always arrive with sanitized footwear and clean tyvek boot covers.
-
Hand hygiene and equipment care: Disposable gloves are worn, and hands, tools, and any shared items are cleaned or sanitized between flocks to minimize the risk of spreading illness.
-
Health awareness and observation: We stay alert to changes in behavior, appetite, droppings, or energy levels and adjust care accordingly. If something looks concerning, we communicate promptly.
-
Respect for your existing routines: We follow your flock’s established care practices and any additional precautions you already have in place.
-
Limiting unnecessary exposure: We don’t handle birds unless care requires it, reducing stress and limiting potential transmission pathways.

Biosecurity doesn’t have to be rigid or fear-based—it’s about thoughtful habits, consistency, and awareness. Our goal is to care for your flock as if they were our own, while protecting the health of all the birds we serve.
